|a The construction industry has long been seen as an industry that does not produce a good for value project when compare to other industry such as the automotive industry. It?s the industry that have the design team and the built team separate from each other?s. In an attempt to increase the efficiency, BIM are to be introduce into the constructionindustry as the solution. This report covers the issues and challenges faced by G7 contractors in implementation Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the construction industry in Malaysia and the relevant solution to prevent the issues and challenges that are faced by G7 contractors in implementing Building Information Modelling (BIM). An investigation was conducted on the construction players inMalaysia through the list developed from the Construction Industry DevelopmentBoard(CIDB) especially contractor in Gred 7. The sample of respondents will be carryout around Selangor, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur. Within the 58 setsof returned questionnaires, 15 sets of questionnaires were answered through face-to-faceand the remaining 43 sets were answered through an online form sent through e-mail.Through the result from the questionnaire, the important issues and challenges can thenbe identified and analyse in responds to the investigation conducted. As the result, theworking standard and procedure for BIM would also first be needed to be developed.Private sector is also encouraged to participate in promoting the usage of BIM weatherin terms of promoting the knowledge or awareness. It?s only through the resilient of both the public and private sector promoting the integration of BIM in the construction industry will the implementation of BIM be achievable. In conclusion, to encourage BIM implementation organizations, tax reductions should be given to the use of BIM.With the reduction of taxes through the use of BIM, this will surely attract construction players and will integrate the use of BIM in their operations
